Washington Men's Soccer Power Rankings 5/31/23
Well, we've learned a lot since the previous power rankings. First, in semi-pro, Yakima United and the Wenatchee All-Stars move into the final for the Washington State Super Cup (more teams should sign up for this, by the way). Seattle City slides a lot. You can't lose 31-0 (congrats again to Yakima United) and expect to stay in the 20s. Lots of teams got bumps for strong play, such as Crossfire Red and White, the Lacey Lights of the CPL, and Everett Jets of the EPLWA. Ballard takes the top spot after Wenatchee has their first league loss ever and draws Walla Walla; I'm wondering if they, along with Sporting, are experiencing some fatigue from their packed scheduled. Speaking of Sporting, the UPSL teams take a bit of a fall after recent bad results against the Oregon teams in their division. Regarding the rec side, congrats to the Georgetown Blazers, ZFC 84, ECS Columbia and Westside United for winning the four GSSL Sunday divisions, as well as Pumas FC for winning the NHSL...
